Volg

This is a bit out of left field: Volg is a chain of small grocery stores in Switzerland and they sell a brand of beer under their own name.

In 2013 we were camping in a part of Switzerland called Goms, near a town called Reckingen. I bought the beer at a local shop (it must have been a Volg store) and didn’t take any notice of it. Only later did I realise that it is their own beer.

The one I had was a lager. 4.8% alcohol so to my taste in that regard.

Like most of the beers posted in this section, I have no notes so can’t really comment on what it was like, but from the fact that we were camped in the same place for a number of days and this is the only beer I purchased while there, I can safely assume it was perfectly drinkable.
