So a while ago I posted a post entitled Looking for the Lost Boys (Beers) about beers I had drunk in various places in the past, but had never been able to find them again to be able to include them on this blog.
I can announce that with a combination of a generous German friend and an unexpected trip into Germany in August, I have been able to locate a good many of the German beers that I had not been able to find, and can include them here.
The first post will be about the beers that my friend brought to me; I will post separately about the beers that I found on the trip in Germany last month.
The first is Hatz Pils; I had this once in Baden-Baden back in 2014. My friend was able to source some online in Germany and included them in the cache he brought to my place. It’s a pale colour, not a great head but fair lacing; 4.9% alcohol. I had no memory of what it was like last time but it turns out to be quite bitter - a little too much so for me.
